President Xu delivered a speech at the ceremony, pointing out that as an important part of traditional Chinese culture, Chinese Medicine and Shaolin medicine have been enjoying a growing reputation by people from every nation in the world with the implementation and advancement of the strategy of “One Belt and One Road”, and we are endowed with mission and responsibility by history and time to put forward and spread traditional excellency of Chinese culture through strategic cooperation.

HUCM attaches great importance to the cooperation with Shaolin Temple; the two parties have reached a cooperation potential through previous mutual visits, field investigation, and talks in such fields as education, scientific research, medical care, and culture, and decided to run medical education cooperated with universities overseas.

Shi Yongxin, abbot of Shaolin Temple, spoke highly of the achievements scored in the development of HUCM, and then gave an introduction about millennium years’ medical history of Shaolin Temple and effective methods of curing diseases with its own characteristics. Shaolin Temple has conducted for many years a lot of excellent work in medicine, which has formed its own characteristics, earning a wide reputation at home and abroad. He finally stressed that through the cooperation Shaolin Temple could contribute to human’s well-being by taking the advantage of resources of Shaolin followers and Shaolin culture centers overseas, and combining Chinese Medicine education, medical treatment, and scientific research with traditional ethnic healthcare.

In the end, President Xu and Shi Yongxin, representing the two parties, signed in the framework agreement of cooperation. After that, President Xu and the followers also made a visit to the Shaolin Medicine House.
