    I A Brief Introduction to the University

1. Founded in 1958, a history of 60 years, one of the earliest established TCM universities in China.

2. Located in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan province.

3. The only TCM higher institution in Henan province.

4. Approved to confer Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.

    5. One of the five TCM universities co-sponsored by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and provincial government.

    6. Graded “excellence” in the MOE undergraduate teaching assessment in 2006.

7. Having three campuses, covers an area of 163 hectares.

8. Consisting of 18 schools, 3 affiliated hospitals, 129 clinical teaching bases, and 59 research institutes with over 19000 students.

II A Brief Introduction to International Education

1. The university has established friendly relationship with over 50 educational, research, and medical institutions worldwide.

2. The university was among the first group of higher institutions approved by the Ministry of Education to start international education in 1993.

3. In September 2013, the university was approved to enroll Chinese Government Scholarship applicants by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education.

4. It was awarded in 2009 and 2014 by the China Association of Higher Education for excellence in international education.

5. International education of the university features Chinese Medicine in combination with acupuncture, life preservation, kungfu and meditation.

6. It was the only TCM university competing in the final of “China Exploration 2013” a sports and cultural competition for international students in China, which was sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education of P.R. China.

7. Providing 24 Bachelor’s, 57 Master’s and 18 Doctoral programs, including Programs for International Students as follows:

Registration fee报名费:

RMB800 each

Degree Program Tuition学费:

Bachelor’s degree program本科: RMB26000 each per year

Master’s degree program硕士: RMB32000 each per year

Doctor’s degree program博士: RMB35000 each per year

Continuing education on Chinese medicine中医临床进修:

RMB8000 each for 1-month period （4 weeks)（四周费用，除周末）

RMB16000 each for a 3-month period（3个月费用）

Chinese language course汉语课程收费:

RMB7000 each for one academic term 每学期7000元

Accommodation 宿舍住宿费：

RMB960 monthly (beddings not included) for degree programs; RMB32/day for short term program

学历生960元/月（不包含床上用品）；短期生每天32元

Insurance保险费：

Any applicant for a 6-month and over study has to buy insurance of RMB600/year

每年600元
